You deserve the best care.

Catherine Crowe

Licensed Professional Counselor,

State of Virginia

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Virginia who provides quality mental health care to women, virtually. I provide a safe space for healing and resolving problems so you can feel at peace within yourself, with others, and with your life.

I believe counseling is a collaborative process, and I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to better understand who you are and where you’d like to go. Together, we’ll explore what you want to change—whether that’s within yourself, your relationships, or your current circumstances—and create a path toward the future you envision.

In our work, I’ll provide practical coping skills, new perspectives, and supportive guidance to help you navigate challenges and move forward with greater confidence. I especially enjoy helping clients who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in life; experiencing sadness, low motivation, or frustration; balancing the demands of work and caregiving; struggling with self-esteem, body image, or relationship difficulties; or simply wanting more fulfillment in their personal or professional lives.

My goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Professional Background

I grew up in Northern Virginia and began my academic journey at James Madison University, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Business. After graduation, I spent more than a decade working in the IT field as a data analyst. While the work was stable, I realized I wanted something more—something that aligned with my strengths and values and allowed me to make a real difference in people’s lives. That calling led me to pursue a career in counseling.

In 2013, I earned my master’s degree in Forensic Psychology – Professional Counselor Licensure Track from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC. My training included a practicum and internship as a School Psychologist in the Special Education department of an elementary school in Southeast DC, followed by work as a case manager and counselor in community mental health during my residency.

After becoming licensed as a Professional Counselor in Virginia, I began working in outpatient private practice. Since then, I have practiced in both solo and group settings, and I have also provided clinical supervision to pre-licensed counselors.

Ongoing learning is a cornerstone of my professional growth, and I have completed extensive clinical training in a variety of areas, some of which include:

  • The Gottman Method

    • Level 1: Couples Therapy

  • Neurodiverse Relationships:

    • Individual Therapy for the Neurotypical Partner: When Your Partner is on the Autism Spectrum

    • Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE)

      • Training 101: Fundamentals of Working with Neurodiverse Couples in Therapy

      • Certification 201: Case Presentations and Advanced Topics in Neurodiverse Couples Therapy

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Online Circle introductory program

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

    • Basic Trauma Processing

  • Suicide Prevention:

    • Collaborative Assessment & Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and The Clinician’s Suicide Prevention Summit

These experiences have deepened my ability to support clients through a wide range of challenges, from relationship concerns and life stressors to trauma, anxiety, and depression.
